identities, Vienna's international Queer Film Festival, is delighted to continue its activity and challenge as an arthouse distributor in Austria.
 

identities. DISTRIBUTION is a logical development of its continuously growing festival and off-year activities and aims at increasing cineastic and social diversity yet again. Due to popular and film business demand the festival started to release selected queer films in Austria  in January 2006.

Main focus is - in accordance with identities' main purpose - on gender identity and diversity, making different and less presented topics, issues and genres visible and accessible.
Queer Films are internationally acclaimed, successful and by no means only meant for a specific "target audience".  Unfortunately they hardly ever make it to Austrian screens by means of distribution.

We had a blast headstart on 13 January, 2006 with Veronika Minder's multi-award-winning documentary KATZENBALL.

The second title is also a festival favorite - D.E.B.S.  - Angela Robinson's funny and clever girl action spy comedy spoof.
